A Brigadeiro Just Might be the Perfect Valentine’s Day Treat

Chances are that many folks haven’t heard of a brigadeiro, which some might compare to a truffle. But if you’re still scrambling to impress your beloved for Valentine’s Day, you can get one of Brazil’s most beloved treats right here in the metro.

Jessica Harris and her mother started Sweet Kiss Brigadeiro back in 2015. Today, Jessica has a commercial kitchen in her basement where she prepares the brigadeiros.

Jessica says the recipe has been passed down through generations. “My grandmother taught my mom and my mom taught us, my sister and I, and I am going to be teaching my son,” she says.

Watch the attached video to see how brigadeiros are made. Although Harris doesn’t have a retail location at the moment, you can order from their website or through Shatto Home Delivery, which can deliver them to your house for Valentine’s Day or for any day of the year.
