Tap List | Taste Testing Boulevard Beers in Cans Versus Bottles
February 25, 2020 | Emily Woodring | 1 min read
Boulevard Brewing Co.’s recent decision to release Tank 7 in cans has inspired a lively debate about the taste of beer in cans versus bottles.
Tap List decided to put the topic to a taste test.
Locally, Boulevard is the only brewery to produce the same beer in both cans and in bottles. So Tap List bought bottles and cans of Unfiltered Wheat, Pale Ale and Tank 7 and served them to our in-house expert.
In the attached video, beer enthusiast Cassie Niemeyer quaffs the three beers in a blind taste test. Her feedback turned out to be as interesting as it is entertaining.
You’ll have to watch the video to see Cassie’s conclusions. If she doesn’t convince you, here are a couple of beer industry articles to whet your intellectual appetite on the topic.
Also, stick around for the end of the video, where Cassie makes a public service announcement about a super fun Tap List contest that starts next week.
