Tap List | Hoisting a Toast to American Craft Beer Week

This week is particularly special for beer lovers. Why? Because it’s American Craft Beer Week

There’s no better time to stock up (even more) on delicious brew in the name of independence, in the name of breweries, in the name of independent breweries. To help us celebrate safely, CraftBeer.com has provided beer lovers with a list of breweries nationwide providing to-go options

As society eases back into the new normal heading into Memorial Day weekend, some breweries are reopening at a limited capacity.

3 Trails Brewing Co. — 111 N. Main St., Independence, Missouri — are back with regular hours, but with added space between tables. They are continuing to honor local health care workers by offering complimentary growler fills of their Not Deflated American IPA (7.3% ABV, IBU 20) and Vaile Ale New England Pale Ale (6.3% ABV, IBU 10). They’ve also added their Square Select American Lager (5.3% ABV, IBU 15) to the mix.

East Forty Brewing — 1201 W. Main St., Blue Springs, Missouri — has also reopened. Make a reservation and be sure to read up on what they’re doing to ensure your safety. 

Beer Releases 

3Halves Brewing Co.’s — 110 E. Kansas St., Liberty, Missouri — flagship beer, called Cannonball (5.5% ABV) is back. This citrusy American Pale Ale is available for curbside pickup, so get on it! 

Fields & Ivy Brewery — 706 E. 23rd St., Lawrence, Kansas — has added a Gose Ale to their ranks, called The Canoe Club (4.5% ABV, IBU 10). This delicious summer treat was brewed with ginger, blood orange and pineapple.

East Forty Brewing — 1201 W. Main St., Blue Springs, Missouri — has Sunrise Saison, a farmhouse ale brewed with ginger and lime, (6.6% ABV) available in cans and growlers! 

Word on the street is that Crane Brewing Co.6515 Railroad St., Raytown, Missouri — has brewed Strawberry Rhubarb Gose (4.5% ABV). Check their Facebook page regularly for updates! 

While you’re at 3 Trails Brewing this weekend, be sure to snag a pint of their newest cider, Chef Pants (5% ABV). This cider is a lightly carbonated easy drinker with apple notes.

Big Rip Brewing Co. — 216 E. 9th Ave., North Kansas City, Missouri — re-released their famous Delta 88 (6.3% ABV, IBU 88)), an American IPA loaded with sweet maltiness and hoppy goodness. This brew is available for pickup in 12-ounce cans. 

Torn Label Brewing Co. — 1708 Campbell St., Kansas City, Missouri — recently featured Belle-Mère (7.9% ABV), a barrel-aged wild ale, a wine-beer hybrid that is sure to ramp up your summer grilling adventures! 

In celebration of American Craft Beer Week, Rochester Brewing and Roasting Co. — 2129 Washington St., Kansas City, Missouri — has released American IPA (7.1% ABV). This is unfiltered beer boasts of citrus, melong and — yes you guessed it — America.

Every day this week, Transport Brewery11113 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, Kansas — will be releasing new specials to celebrate American Craft Beer Week! Pay them a visit this week, get a great deal, and grab a can of their Pineapple Queen, a Hazy New England IPA, clocking in at 7.2% ABV. 

Wednesday, May 20 

If you want to enjoy your beer at a social distance, City Barrel Brewing Co. — 1740 Holmes, Kansas City, Missouri — is hosting a virtual trivia night dedicated to the TV hit “Parks and Recreation.” The event is from 7-9:30 p.m. Buy your ticket here! 

Saturday, May 23 

In compliance with reopening standards, Apex Aleworks — 4356 S. Noland Road, Independence, Missouri — is celebrating its reopening with a live show! Grab a beer and kick back while acoustic sounds of the 70s invade your ear drums from 7:30-10:30 p.m.

Limitless Brewing — 9765 Widmer, Lenexa, Kansas — is hosting an Outdoor Beer Garden event this Saturday from noon until 11 p.m. Be ready for food trucks, live music and other events — all while social distancing!
