It’s the last weekend of the year to get a traditional Irish breakfast at Browne’s Irish Marketplace (3300 Pennsylvania). Get your fill of rashers, banger, eggs, potatoes, tomatoes, beans, brown bread, and Irish soda bread on Saturday. You can also add on an Irish coffee or Bloody Mary. Browne’s opens at 9 a.m.

The 2017 Blarney Brew Off is Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Grains & Taps (204 SW Market Street, Lee’s Summit, Missouri). You can sample more than 100 kinds of home brewed beer, as well as food from Frankie Farelane’s. Tickets are $44.50.

Flatland contributor and #TapList author Pete Dulin will be hosting a Small Bites Wine Tasting at Fence Stile Vineyards and Winery (31010 W 124th Street, Excelsior Springs, Missouri) on Saturday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. It’s four wines and six small bites for $30 ($25 for wine club members).

Discover your inner princess at The Melting Pot’s Fondue Fairy Tale (450 Ward Parkway). The fondue restaurant is hosting “Beauty and The Feast,” from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. It’s a three-course fondue lunch (cheese and chocolate are the start and the end), along with a chance to take a photo with a princess, and win movie tickets to The Cinemark Palace at The Plaza. The full menu is here. It’s $24.95 for kids under 12 years old and $34.95 for the rest of us.

The Velo Garage (1403 Swift Avenue) — a project that started as a mobile bike shop and beer tap inside of a Volkswagen bus — is open in North Kansas City. Velo Garage is a spot to repair your bike or grab your beer. The bicycle shop will be run by Vincent Rodriguez of Maps Coffee Roasters and Velo + (a coffee and bike repair shop in Lenexa). They’ll also serve coffee and beer in the tap room.
