Hops Hysteria: The Final Four, Time to Choose Two Finalists
March 24, 2020 | Emily Woodring | 2 min read
When Tap List hatched Hops Hysteria, we had no idea we would be in the position we are today.
At the time, we hoped that March Madness and Hops Hysteria would pair in perfect harmony. Instead, Hops Hysteria became one of the only bracket competitions still going as the sports world came to a sudden stop in the age of coronavirus.
Despite radically changed circumstances, we think Hops Hysteria has served crucial dual purposes: as a distraction from the crush of coronavirus headlines; and as a way for Tap List followers to support their favorite local breweries when they need you most.
The Elite Eight matchups sent one of the area’s most popular breweries packing. The Final Four also includes a genuine Cinderella story. Tap List beer enthusiast Cassie Niemeyer has the latest results in the attached video.
We encourage you to vote between now and noon Thursday for two beers that will make it to the championship matchup. Have some fun Kansas City, and chug away (responsibly) quarantiners!
Our Hops Hysteria finalists will be announced on Friday. And don’t forget to check out next Tuesday’s video to find out the winner of Flatland’s inaugural Hops Hysteria beer bracket challenge.
