Weekend Possibilities | Chiefs Watch Party, Daniel Tiger, Onesie Bar Crawl

Can’t wait until Chiefs kickoff? Fill up on fun before the big game this weekend with Bogus Game Show! at Rewind Video, a tribute to Fleetwood Mac or an ultra-cozy bar crawl.

Friday, Jan. 19

7:30 p.m. Do you dream of appearing on a game show? Rewind Video and Dive, 406 Armour Road, will host Bogus Game Show! Friday night and everyone is invited. The bar below Screenland Armour in North Kansas City will have ‘90s game show throwbacks playing all night, plus an in-house interactive experience that will pit contestants against one another in trivia and physical challenges, with sweet ‘90s-themed prizes on the line. There is no cover. You must be 21 or older to play. Signups start at 7 p.m.

7:30 – 10:30 p.m. Friday is opening night for Witness for the Prosecution at Johnson County Arts and Heritage Center, 8788 Metcalf Ave. The Agatha Christie classic directed by Rachel Redler is a suspenseful thriller surrounding the murder of a rich widow, a high stakes trial and an accused man’s fate. Tickets are $22 for regular admission, $20 for seniors and $18 for students.

8 p.m. Rumours: A Fleetwood Mac Tribute will treat fans of the legendary British-American rock band to start the weekend with a show in Yardley Hall at Midwest Trust Center, 12345 College Blvd. Considered one of the top touring Fleetwood Mac cover bands, Rumours delivers an authentic onstage appearance and performance that transports audience members to Fleetwood Mac’s heyday. Tickets start at $25.

Saturday, Jan. 20

11 a.m. The National WWI Museum and Memorial, 2 Memorial Drive, is celebrating Winnie-the-Pooh Day with family-friendly programming Saturday. Learn the true story of the WWI bear who inspired the creation of Christopher Robin’s buddy and hear a reading of the 2015 Children’s book “Winnie,” followed by a screening of “Christopher Robin” at 1 p.m. Birthday cake for Pooh will be provided.

Noon – 3 p.m. Nonprofit record label and store Manor Records, 1501 W. 12^th St., is bringing back its Songwriter Open Mic at its new location in the West Bottoms. Artists of any skill level are invited to perform up to three songs, depending on turnout. Signups start when the record store opens at 10 a.m. The open mic is free, and all ages are welcome.

2:30 p.m. Daniel, O the Owl, Miss Elaina, Katerina Kittycat, Prince Wednesday and the crew are stopping in Kansas City for Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood LIVE: King for a Day at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, 1601 Broadway Blvd. Based on the hit PBS Kids program, the musical brings the beloved characters to the stage for a live, in-person adventure where Daniel learns what it takes to be king. Tickets are available starting at $47.05, plus tax and fees.

4 p.m. – Midnight Get ready to get cozy, The Official Onesie Bar Crawl moves through Kansas City this weekend. The group plans to meet at Border Brewing Company, 512 E. 18^th St., for check-in between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. and will continue to Double Shift Brewing Co., Howl at the Moon and KC Wineworks before finishing at Red Sash Brewing. Participants will get drinks/shots, a party cup and a bottle opener lanyard with their ticket. Stops along the crawl will have food and drink specials. Tickets are $25.

Sunday, Jan. 21

6 a.m. – 2 p.m. Jump out of bed and give B’s Bagels & Bialys a shot Sunday morning. The new breakfast spot in Belton, Missouri, serves a variety of fresh bagels, bagel sandwiches and other treats, plus bialys – a “cousin” to the bagel, stuffed with goodies like bacon, eggs and cheese, or apple, brown sugar and cinnamon.

1:30 p.m. The annual Searching the Psyche Through Cinema series from Kansas City Public Library Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St., returns Sunday with a focus on director Ridley Scott’s “Blade Runner.” Looking to illuminate a greater understanding of ourselves through sci-fi, a post-screening discussion with psychoanalyst Ryan Allison and screenwriter and educator Ayah Abdul-Rauf will follow. The event is free.

5:30 p.m. Another Kansas City Chiefs playoff game, another watch party. Join podcast hosts from KC Sports Network Sunday evening in Weston, Missouri, to watch the Chiefs and Buffalo Bills face off at Holladay Distillery, 1 McCormick Lane, in Weston. Fans can look forward to raffle prizes and games, food from Mission Taco Joint and tasty drinks from the distillery. Space is limited, guests are asked to RSVP in advance and arrive early. The party is free to attend.
