The world of entrepreneurship is always evolving, and it’s easy to miss some things. This week, I scavenged through all of the news and headlines to find where the most captivating stories were hidden, to give them to you in an easily digestible way. Here are some of the top headlines in entrepreneurship this week:

Silicon Prairie News–E.W. Scripps, a media company which owns multiple newspapers and television stations, acquired Newsy for $35 million. Despite the deal, Newsy will still keep their main operations centralized in Columbia, Mo. The acquisition is expected to close January 1.

2. The salary gap between young men and women reached an all time low, according to a new Pew Research survey–http://bit.ly/19mmQYs

According to the survey, young women in their mid-twenties to mid-thirties in 2012 were earning 93 percent of the pay to men in the same age range. In 1980, that number was only 64 percent.
