Just a few years ago, most folks probably couldn’t name a hard seltzer. Now they’re everywhere.
Introduced in 2013, hard seltzer is expected to tally $2.5 billion in sales in 2021. Almost every major brewery now makes hard seltzer, and more craft brewers are tapping into a whole new audience seeking a low-calorie, low-sugar buzz.
Put simply, hard seltzer has become more than a passing fad.
Admittedly, a lot of hardcore craft beer connoisseurs, including some of your friends at Flatland, aren’t exactly big fans of hard seltzer. But we feel an obligation to check it out.
