Tap List | How About Celebrating Mother’s Week (Beer Edition)?
May 11, 2021 | | 4 min read
I know everyone says this, but my mom is awesome.
I remember once taking a ride as a child in my dad’s 1957 Chevy Apache. As the truck was speeding along the highway, the passenger door flung open. I almost fell out, and my mom caught me just before I hit the pavement.
So in addition to giving me life, mom has also saved my life. And this wasn’t the first time, either. My mom also rescued me from drowning in the deep end of a pool.
So naturally, I celebrate Mother’s Day seriously. But why stop at just a day? Maybe our moms deserve a whole week’s worth of celebrations.
If your mom likes beer, then you are in luck, because there are a bunch of beer releases and beer-related events this week.
Consider buying your mom some award winning beer from Alma Mader Brewing — 2635 Southwest Blvd, Kansas City, Missouri. In the latest issue of Craft Beer & Brewing, Premiant, Alma Mader’s Czech pilsner, was rated 98/100. Contextual, their dark lager, was rated 95/100.
Or, take your mom to Limitless Brewing — 9765 Widmer Road, Lenexa, Kansas — for their third annual shrimp boil. Duke’s Place Food Truck will be posted up alongside Limitless Brewing this Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Adults can get all-you-can-eat shrimp for just $25.
