Hops Hysteria: Beer Bracket Begins Today
March 3, 2020 | | 1 min read
Just in time for March Madness, Tap List is launching its own uniquely local beer bracket.
Friends of Flatland now have the opportunity to help select Kansas City’s favorite beer by participating in weekly voting rounds starting March 10. The initial bracket will include the top 64 beers produced year-round by Kansas City-area breweries. The beers will be seeded based on the number of check-ins they have on the social beer app, Untappd.
Starting today, readers can submit their own predictions in the attached bracket (see above) until midnight March 9. Players will be entered to win a six-pack of the winning beer, behind-the-scenes access to a Tap List video taping with host Cassie Niemeyer, and a swag bag chock full of goodies from Flatland, 90.9 The Bridge and Kansas City PBS.
The first round of voting will start March 10 with new rounds every Tuesday and Friday through the end of the contest. The first-ever Tap List Beer Bracket Champion will be announced March 31.
Tell your friends. Campaign for your favorite local beer. This could be super fun.
