Tap List | Comparing Whiskey Barrel-Aged Beers

February 15, 2022  |    |  1 min read

Whiskey and beer? For some folks, it’s the quaffing equivalent of peanut butter and chocolate. And Flatland beer enthusiast Cassie Niemeyer is here to celebrate barrel-aged season.

Luckily, we have some great whiskey and bourbon barrel-aged beers available in Kansas City, not just right now, but year-round just in case you enjoy them a little too much. (It’s OK, we don’t judge.)

In this episode, Cassie blind taste tests and discusses three very popular whiskey barrel-aged options available here in Kansas City.

Here are the featured beers:

  • Boulevard Brewing Co.’s Bourbon Barrel Quad Barrel-Aged Ale – Kansas City, MO (12.2%)
  • Boulevard Brewing Co.’s Whiskey Barrel Stout Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout, Kansas City, MO (11.8%)
  • New Holland Brewing Co.’s Dragon’s Milk Bourbon Barrel-Aged Stout – Holland, Michigan (11%)

Watch to see which beer comes out on top!
