Tap List | Cold Beer is a Remedy for the Heat in Kansas City
June 15, 2021 | | 3 min read
Being from West Texas, you would think I’d find ways to navigate the heat. You would think I’d find ways to keep my hands from burning when touching the steering wheel, or my legs from burning when sitting in the car. You would think I’d find ways to properly hydrate before mowing the lawn, going on walks, or walking down the Country Club Plaza.
Sadly, this is not the case.
As much as I loathe the heat, one thing is for certain — there is nothing like cold beer on a summer day. Lucky for us, Flatland has a slew of beers and beer-related events to keep you cool.
Apex Aleworks — 4356 S. Noland Road, Independence, Missouri — is hosting Chris and Piggy, an acoustic duo that specializes in folk, Americana and bluegrass this Friday from 9 p.m. to midnight. Snag some tasty beer from Apex and let the sound of banjos and acoustic guitars carry you away.
