The brewery, which took over part of the former Golden Ox space, will be serving its Hefeweizen, Golden Alt, and Saison. Keep an eye out in the near future for its Black IPA. To learn more, read our piece from last month. Stockyards will be open from 4 to 11 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and 12 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Looking for an unusual lunch spot? Taco Wars comes to Union Cemetary (227 E 28th Terrace) today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food trucks will go head-to-head as part of an effort to find the best taco in town with 10 percent of the sales going to benefit the Union Cemetary Historical Society.

Miceli’s Italian Market & Deli (3300 W 6th Street) is holding its grand opening today and tomorrow in Lawrence, Kansas. They’ll be serving up free biscuits and gravy from 7 to 11 a.m. to celebrate. The deli, which features classic Italian dishes, opened in December in the former Harold’s Fried Chicken and Donuts space.

The Wine Walk on Delaware returns for a new season this Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. It’s a chance to sip Spanish wines, check out local art, and hear live music. The event benefits End Polio Now, the Circle of Hope NICU Foundation, Shawnee Rotary Club Foundation, and Sunflower House. Tickets are $5 and include five tasting samples. You can buy them at the gate.

Lard needs a better agent, it’s not getting a ton of bookings these days. Schenker Farms and the Kansas City Food Circle are trying to change lard’s image with a class on rendering lard at Howard’s Grocery, Cafe, and Catering (1708 Oak Street) from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. You’ll learn to make biscuits with lard and leave with your very own jar. Tickets are $26.49 for KCFC members ($36.69) for non-members.

KC Wine Co. (13875 Gardner Road, Olathe, Kansas) is introducing a new wine. Vignoles, a Missouri white grape varietal, arrives Saturday at 12 p.m. They’ll have $5 wine flights and complimentary sliders from Cosentino’s (while supplies last) from 12 to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
