Taken from KCPT’s “Arts Upload,” which has amassed an impressive collection of local poets reading their own works, “Spotlight” gives Flatland a chance to catch up with the artists. We find out what they’re up to and get their take on what to watch in the local and national art scene.

I’m writing a book and a play — the titles haven’t been decided yet.

Practicing with The Lean Lab for a performance coming up regarding the future of KC schools.

I’m reading “Said the Shotgun to the Head” by Saul Williams and “[insert] boy” by Danez Smith.
Do you have a goal for 2016?
My goal is to publish my book and produce a play.
