What Moves You Forward? | Nancy and Nia
January 3, 2019 | Craig Smith, Kelly Cordingley | 1 min read
Nancy and Nia both have hope in their city and its people, and what they do everyday aims to make this place better for future generations.
“Hopefully what I do has an impact or ripple effect toward the future so my children have a great place to live in, and Kansas City could be a great place on the map and people can thrive,” Nia says.
Flatland spoke to audience members at the TEDxKCWomen event on Dec. 1 at the Music Hall in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. We asked them what moves them forward, in keeping with the theme of the women-focused event. Check the KCPT schedule for repeat airings of our two one-hour episodes.
Every Tuesday and Thursday through spring of 2019, Flatland will share stories of Kansas City’s neighbors. Find them online here and on Flatland’s Youtube page — and don’t forget to subscribe.
