A devastating fire Saturday morning at Davey’s Uptown Ramblers Club has prompted an outpouring of reaction among members of the Kansas City performing community.

Early this morning, Flatland’s sister radio station, 90.9 The Bridge, posted a heartfelt homage to Davey’s impact on the local music scene by John Velghe. Morning host Bryan Truta, meanwhile, interviewed two local musicians, David George and Billy Brimblecom, Jr., about their memories of Davey’s.

Please feel free to absorb those stories, and stay tuned to The Bridge for more coverage. In addition, Flatland producer and frequent Davey’s visitor John McGrath, dug up the following video of Drew Black and Dirty Electric he shot at the bar in 2015.
