December 27, 2019 | Vicky Diaz-Camacho, Shelby Fletcher | 1 min read
Midwest Music Foundation
Founded in 2013 in memory of Abigail Henderson, a Kansas City musician who died of cancer. Henderson dreamt of creating a musician’s healthcare coalition after she was rushed to the emergency room for a hernia while on tour. The program helps the music community with funds for emergency care as well as offers education and career development support.
