Kids love to trick-or-treat for Halloween, but it can be scary for concerned parents. Safety concerning door-to-door trick-or-treating has increased over the years especially in inner-city locations like Wyandotte County. Parents have many concerns about what candy their child is receiving, how cold it can be outside, and how quickly it becomes dark.
Wyandotte County offers several safe trick-or-treat options that are alternatives for door-to-door. Last weekend’s Trunk-or-Treat on the fairgrounds and upcoming community centers are yearly events. Call the centers for more information.
Tonight, the T-Rex restaurant at the Legends Outlets Kansas City and Turner High School, at 2211 S. 55th St., host Halloween parties at 5pm.
You can also visit the Kerby Farm in Wyandotte County any day this week until Saturday. They have several fun activities like a pumpkin patch, hayride, and a corn maze. Call 913-442-1766 for more information.
