Meshuggah Bagels Opens in Overland Park & Other Weekend Possibilities
June 2, 2017 | Jonathan Bender | 3 min read
Meshuggah Bagels has opened its second area location at 7096 W. 105th St. in Overland Park, Kansas. It’s a little piece of New York City in Johnson County. At Meshuggah, the dough is boiled and then placed on a wet bagel board (a piece of cedar wrapped in burlap) before being baked in the oven. The water keeps the bagel from sticking to the board and adds moisture to the bagel as it bakes. You can top your bagel with house schmear, whitefish salad or lox. The first store, which opened last March, is located at 1208 W. 39th St.
