Jason’s Deli is moving across Main Street to Town Pavilion, leaving one newly-refurbished office tower lobby for another.
The deli has been in the lobby of the lightwell building at 1100 Main, the former City Center Square. Lightwell is leasing that space to a new food hall to be operated by Tim Barton, who also operates Strang Hall at the Edison District building in downtown Overland Park.
In the meantime, the owners of Town Pavilion recently completed a $5 million renovation of its lobby at 1111 Main St.
The new Jason’s Deli location will occupy 3,700 square feet and is accessible from the lobby and will have an entrance and outdoor dining on Petticoat Lane.
“We couldn’t be more excited to see them in this new space with great features…such as an expansive outdoor patio and convenient access from interior or exterior of the building,” Erin Johnston, vice president of retail leasing at Copaken Brooks, said in a statement.

The new location is expected to open this spring. Jason’s Deli plans to use a smaller space in the interim at Town Pavilion to launch a to-go and delivery operation beginning next month.
“We’re so excited for this opportunity to renew our look and layout while remaining in the same part of downtown that we know and love,” Kirk Jefferies, owner of Jason’s Deli, said in a statement.

ingredients, according to a press release.
The renovated first floor at Town Pavilion also includes a Scooters Coffee, Bank Midwest, Planet Sub, Plowboys BBQ, a FedEx location, and a convenience store.
“We’ve continued to steadily elevate Town Pavilion’s offerings and presence in downtown Kansas City, and Jason’s Deli is an ideal fit for that continued trajectory,” Jon Copaken, principal at Copaken Brooks, said in a statement.
