Hops Hysteria: Elite Eight Results, Final Four Voting Starts Now!

Tap List followers have narrowed Kansas City’s favorite year-round beers down to the Elite Eight.
Five local breweries are still in the bracket out of the original list of 31. Free State Brewing Co. has three entries in the Elite Eight. Boulevard Brewing Co. has two entries in the Elite Eight. And Double Shift Brewing Co., KC Bier Co. and Torn Label Brewing Co. each have one entry in the surviving bracket.
The Sweet 16 round of voting knocked out BKS Artisan Ales, City Barrel Brewing Co., Crane Brewing Co. and Martin City Brewing Co. There were two upsets during the Sweet 16.

3 seed Yakimaniac IPA by Free State defeated 2 seed 80 Acre by Boulevard
4 seed Alpha Pale by Torn Label defeated 9 seed Counterculture IPA by BKS
1 seed Dunkel by KC Bier Co. defeated 6 seed Orange Gose by Crane
1 seed The Calling IPA by Boulevard defeated 5 seed House Brew by Torn Label
2 seed Ad Astra Ale by Free State defeated 3 seed Hard Way IPA by Martin City
8 seed Tessellation Wheat IPA by Double Shift defeated 5 seed Farmhouse IPA by Crane
3 seed Stormchaser IPA by Free State defeated 10 seed RAD AF by City Barrel
Hops Hysteria is getting serious now. Vote on your favorites below to select which beers will make it to the Final Four! You have until midnight Sunday, March 22 to vote for this round. And you can do so at a safe social distance.
Tap List followers are continuing to vote despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which may signal that Hops Hysteria offers some small respite from the flood of heavy news.
The five remaining breweries are adapting to unprecedented times in a variety of ways.
Boulevard Brewing Co. is available in your local retail stores, but the Beer Hall, Tours & Rec Center, and gift shop are closed until further notice.
Double Shift Brewing Co. has beer available for pick-up at their taproom. Orders can be made through their online store or by phone at (816) 304-7028. They are filling 32 oz. crowlers for beer on tap and have bottles available as well.
KC Bier Co. is continuing brewing and packaging operations for retail stores, but the Bierhalle & Biergarten will be closed until further notice.
Free State Brewing Co. is open for carry-out only at the taproom until further notice. The plan is to offer a unique beer each day to customers.
Torn Label Brewing Co. has beer available for pick-up at their taproom and orders can be made through their online store.
