Hello Atelier | Getting Into the Free Motion of Modern Quilting

Flatland has teamed up with Hello Atelier, a Kansas City-based podcast that explores what it means to be a working artist. Hosted by Betsy Blodgett, the weekly podcast takes you into to the studios of designers of all different mediums to learn about their inspiration, their design process and the personal stories behind their art. Hello Atelier is presented by Phonicalia, a local independent podcast production company. Look for a new episode here on Wednesdays through November.
This week on Hello Atelier we talk with Angela Walters, designer, author and free-motion quilter. Today the internet is full of stories on how creating art and crafting is a huge stress reducer. That comes as no surprise to Walters, who named her blog “Quilting Is My Therapy” when she started it back in 2010. Since she began sharing her quilting adventures online she has rocketed to national prominence for her incredible free-motion quilting designs.
